Shopping

Shopping in Thailand is a whole new experience. From the trendy ‘Playground’ in Thong Lor, a three-storey, black granite building which creates the impression of being inside a playhouse, to the fascinating markets. The Patpong Night Market in particular is a must see for tourists. This bustling market opens after sunset and is a favourite for shoppers looking for a bargain.

While in Bangkok, treat yourself to a river cruise along Thailand’s ‘River of Kings’ on the Mekhala, a former rice barge converted into a floating hotel. The Mekhala has air-conditioned cabins and a plush restaurant. Sit on the deck and enjoy the stunning scenery including the ancient capital of Ayuthaya and the Bang-Pa Summer Palace.
